AQI values at or below 100 are generally thought of as ‘satisfactory.’ Not good,
not great, not okay but satisfactory. According to ‘The Time Of India’, New Delhi,
India, comes in with an average AQI of over 250. Such dramatic changes in
today’s air is not just problems faced by this one city, this one country but
unfortunately, by the whole world. Now, hiding from change, it seems as if
smoking 10 cigarettes a day just by inhaling your own city’s toxic air is not such a
‘big deal’ to the common man, however, getting admitted in the hospital and
constantly suffering due to your own health with your lungs not being like the
ones of a common man changes ones perspective on such an issue. The first time
I laid on that hospital bed, I wasn’t too sure as to why I kept falling ill, the
reason? The answer to that is simple, I was breathing. Just by breathing, I was
falling sick. Don’t take me as a petty person, I never ask for people to feel sorry, I
simply ask for change because even when I’m sick, I’m not unhappy, however, I
am angry, I get angry because of the wasted time. Time being something which
one cannot buy, I have had to waste a lot of it and I refuse to waste anymore.
